The Banning High School Counseling Department consists of three counselors and a district psychologist. Students may receive academic, social, and emotional counseling within this department. Counselors are located in the administration building at Banning High School and are available Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and by appointment. Please contact 922-0285 for more information.
Counselors Poulter and Takacs are available to assist students in completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Cal Grant also requires submission of a school certified GPA by March 2, 2015. Applicants are encouraged to obtain proof of mailing their GPA and to retain a copy of their GPA form. For additional community college Cal Grants - September 2, 2015 - date postmarked. If you are a non-citizen holding a Social Security card issued through Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or for some other work authorization, you should fill out the California Dream Act Application found at www.caldreamact.org. Online applications must be submitted by 10 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, June 29, 2015. The deadline for filing FAFSA on the Web applications is June 30, 2015. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 10:00 p.m. September 18, 2015. The deadline for correcting FAFSA on the Web applications is September 19, 2015.
