The band will annually perform at marching competitions against other bands from California. Locations may include: Murrieta, Chino, San Diego, Ventura and the L.A. area. This group has doubled in size since 2011 and is continuing to grow.
The Banning High School Drum line is open to all high school members. Music reading is taught during the course of participation so prior experience is not required. This is a highly selective and hard-working group. Only the most dedicated and eager students will be selected during the audition.
This group consists mostly of wind and percussion players from the Marching Band. The Advanced Band performs three concerts per year consisting of various repertoire. The group also works with many well-known guest artists and clinicians. The Advanced Band is continually improving and growing. Students wishing to join advanced band must receive approval from the Director before joining.
