Banning High School Graduation
The Banning High School Class of 2020 Graduation Vehicle Parade was held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Escorted by the Banning Police Department and led by the Top 10 Seniors in the graduating class, the parade was a procession of vehicles through the City of Banning in a nostalgic journey depicting "A Trip Down Memory Lane" around elementary and middle schools in the Banning Unified School District, MSJC Pass Area Campus (dual enrollment graduates). The final destination was Banning High School where the drive-through ceremony and official commencement exercises begin (by 9:30 a.m.).
The parade began at North Hathaway and Williams Streets in Banning, CA. BHS graduates residing in Cabazon began their caravan at Cabazon Elementary School at 8:15 a.m. and travel to North Hathaway Street and join the rest of the parade. The route can be viewed in ENGLISH and SPANISH.
BUSD staff, families, and the entire community to lined the streets along the vehicle parade route.
Portions of a pre-recorded traditional ceremony will be combined with video of the drive-through ceremony to create a historic Class of 2020 Video Yearbook to be shown on the City of Banning Government Access TV Channels: Charter Ch. 10 and Frontier Ch.29.
