Breaking News--BHS Receives Silver Medal Status!

Banning High School has returned to Silver Medal status in the national Best High Schools rankings. In 2016 BHS achieved this level but moved to Bronze in 2017. Now, we are back and better than ever!

Best High Schools U.S. News World Report Silver Award

Banning High School is ranked 439th within California of 4,495 high schools. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Banning High is 47 percent. The student body makeup is 53 percent male and 47 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 88 percent. 

Banning High is ranked #2262 in the national rankings and earned a silver medal. There are 26,407 public secondary schools and 10,693 private secondary schools across the nation. Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college. 

Students: Continue to reach for the stars and realize your potential. We have the best students on Earth! No question, no doubt. Continue to seek rigor and relevance across the curriculum. Access and equity are provided at BHS and if you seek to challenge yourself academically, which every one of you should, go for it! Nothing stops you but yourselves.
