Banning High School

The RIMS AVID Scholarship Committee released the names of the 2023 scholarship recipients. There were 111 scholarships, at $1,500 each, awarded to students in the RIMS region! Students were selected by a committee of scholarship application readers because of their commitment to academic excellence, their enthusiasm for extracurricular activities, and their dedication to community service, and most importantly, the readers were impressed with their ability to face challenges and not only “rise above” them but to use them as a learning tool to become better. Their success motivates us all to carry the momentum forward to inspire many more young people to achieve greater academic success and to pursue their goals for higher education. Miguel Rangel, AVID student from Banning High School is a 2023 RIMS AVID Scholarship recipient. The RIMS AVID team, we will be hosting a “Virtual Scholarship Recognition” on Thursday April 20th at 6:00 pm to recognize all of the scholarship recipients.
